TRASH! Blood…and other fluids: A queer history of the vampire

February 8 @ 12:00 am - 1:30 am

It’s no secret that in TRASH! we live for the undead. Hence, we invite you all to follow the trail of blood leading to Pigott Hall and meet us in “Blood…and other fluids. A queer history of the vampire,” happening Friday 2/7/25 4:00pm- 5:30pm in room 260-252.
In this session, Rebeca Oliva (ILAC) will introduce us to the sexiest (and gayest) creatures of the night: vampires. We will read the short story “The Vampyre” by John William Polidori, considered the one that kick-started the genre; and, of course, Carmilla, the most famous lesbian vampire there is. If you have time and interest, watching the first episode of the 2022 series Interview with The Vampire is very much recommended! (It’s way better than the movie, trust us). You can find it on Netflix.
Please, RSVP here.
