This session will explore the historical context in which health equity initiatives started at Stanford, particularly Health Equity Rounds.We will emphasize this initiative’s past and present success, including systems-level changes implemented following our sessions. Finally, we discuss the vision for the future, including possible barriers and solutions towards more equity-based systems change.
EDUCATION GOALS
Increase the audience’s knowledge of current HEAL initiatives, particularly Health Equity Rounds.Highlight an example of division-specific health inequities leading to systems-level changes.Identify the next steps in achieving health-equity-based systems-level changes.
