Introduction to GeoPandas Workshop

February 11 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

This is part of a series of workshops for Love Data Week, an annual festival highlighting topics, opportunities and services relevant to data in research.
GeoPandas is an extension of the open-source Python Data Analysis Library, Pandas, which can be used to read, write, and analyze vector geospatial data formats. GeoPandas enables you to easily do operations in Python that would otherwise require a spatial database such as PostGIS. In this workshop, we will introduce GeoPandas and learn how to perform a variety of geospatial data science tasks to work efficiently with geographic vector datasets.
Register here to attend. Spots are open to current Stanford Affiliates only and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited, with a waitlist when all spots are full.
