Branner Library Monthly Book & Map Exhibit – Naturally Hazardous: Wildfires

April 4

Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collection exhibit series: Naturally Hazardous
From the cosmically unavoidable to the anthropogenically-induced, Earth can be naturally hazardous to humans. In the 2024-25 academic year, Branner Library’s exhibit series will feature the science and impact of volcanoes, wildfires, drought, and more.
April 1 – April 24: Extreme wildfires have become more frequent. Learn more about their effects on the environment, public health, infrastructure, and efforts to monitor and remediate those effects through books, maps, and data in our monthly exhibit!
Books and a selection of maps are displayed on the library’s main floor. Additional maps are displayed on the library mezzanine exhibit wall (access from within the library). The exhibit is available for viewing during regular library open hours.
Check out past exhibits featured in the Branner Library Newsletter.
A current Stanford ID is needed to enter the library, visitors must present a government issued ID card to sign-in at the front desk.
